Choose your causes

The Djampel Pawo Buddhist Centre holds daily prayers and organises festivals with different purposes. Anyone can become a sponsor by choosing one or more of the options below, dedicating them to their own causes and projects, to other people or to the deceased.

The amounts go entirely to the organisation of the specific festival, as well as to the upkeep of the centre and its general activities.

Peace, Prosperity and Power; and Protection

Kangso and Le-shin – Kalarupa and Dorje Shugden Festival
  • Purpose: To spread the enlightened activities of the Dharma protectors to everyone and bring more peace, security, prosperity and power to each person's life and projects.
  • Related requests: Peace, prosperity and power; and Protection.
  • Minimum sponsorship: R$ 5.00 per tablet (le-shin) and R$ 210.00 (kangso sponsorship per name)
  • When it takes place: The name is recited in the Kangso every day for 90 days after joining and verification by the members, or until the Kalarupa Festival closes, and it can be renewed every quarter. The le-shin requests are performed on the date of our Annual Kalarupa and Dorje Shugden Festival.

Daily protection requests

Daily Kangso
  • Purpose: Daily pujas asking the Dharma protectors to pacify negative ripenings, attract positive causes and subdue adversity, so that the practitioner's path may be full of meaning.
  • Related requests: Protection
  • Minimum sponsorship: R$ 210.00 for the kangso sponsorship per name. The request can be renewed for the next cycle or after the Kalarupa Festival.
  • When it takes place: The name is recited in the Kangso every day for 90 days after joining and verification by the members, or until the Annual Kalarupa and Dorje Shugden Festival closes.

For physical and mental health

Tsog – daily Guru Puja
  • Purpose: In the Tsog (or Ganachakra), the sponsors'names are recited with requests for intervention, protection, overcoming difficulties and greater well-being.
  • Related requests: Physical and mental health, pacification and removal of obstacles
  • Minimum sponsorship: R$ 15.00 per name
  • When it takes place: Every day during the Guru Puja for 90 days after the name is sent and verified by the members

For the benefit of the deceased

Jangwa Puja – Festival for the Liberation of the Dead
  • Purpose: To benefit and liberate the deceased of any time or generation.
  • Related requests: A deceased person
  • Minimum sponsorship: R$ 150.00 per name
  • When it takes place: We pray and dedicate every day for 90 days after the name is sent and verified by the members, and the name is included in our next Jangwa Puja festival.
