The Centre
The Djampel Pawo Buddhist Centre is located in São Paulo, Brazil. It was officially inaugurated in 2001 by His Eminence Venerable Kalden Tulku Rinpoche for the benefit of all sentient beings, for the perfect transmission of the Ganden lineage, and with the firm purpose of establishing the Dharma in this land.
In the midst of the busy environment of everyday life, the Djampel Pawo Buddhist Centre offers a space conducive to mind training and the practice of the Dharma.
On attaining enlightenment, Buddha Shakyamuni taught the Dharma to free all beings from suffering, without a single exception. This is why the Dharma exists: to benefit sentient beings and free them from the Six Realms. Because the suffering of beings is so varied, the Buddha taught countless methods, in many ways, according to the different difficulties and circumstances of each being – for each situation, the Supreme Tathagata taught a way out. In the same way, this is how Venerable Kalden Rinpoche guides us: faced with a spiritual or worldly problem, he prescribes a Buddhist solution for each challenge. Kalden Rinpoche makes the experience of the Dharma even more alive, with the courage to present the teachings in a joyful and practicable way, without ever losing the depth needed to transform our lives.
The Djampel Pawo Buddhist Centre exists to sustain and make it possible for as many people and beings living in this land as possible to hear and benefit from the teachings of the Buddha, which bring joy, clarity and courage to seek a meaningful life.
